生活在唐代的诗人喻凫是一位非常典型的江南才子，《唐才子传》卷七记载了他简短的生平，《唐才子传》中载：“凫，毗陵人，开成五年，李从实榜进士，仕为乌程县令，有诗名。”1458作为进士出身，喻凫一生创作甚丰，但《全唐诗》仅收录喻凫诗一卷又一首，计65首。这也是他一生之中最杰出的作品之一。
