魏元忠（？－707年），本名真宰，宋州宋城（今河南省商丘市睢阳区）人，唐代著名的政治家，他历仕高宗、武后、中宗三朝，两次出任宰相，并兼具一定的军事才能，为贞观之治向开元盛世的顺利过渡起了一定的积极作用，在唐代众多的宰相中是比较有作为的一位。武则天晚年时，又受张昌宗、张易之陷害，贬高要尉。中宗复位时任宰相，随波逐流，不再直言。后因牵涉节愍太子起兵反韦后及杀武三思事，贬思州务川尉，行至涪陵而死。年七十余。
