薛扬祖（一一四七～一二一九），字元振，庆元（今浙江宁波）人。孝宗淳熙间辟淮东帅司书写机宜文字。调处州司户参军。宁宗庆元元年（一一九五），知义乌县（清嘉庆《义乌县志》卷八）。嘉定二年（一二○九），权知漳州（《宋会要辑稿》刑法二之一三六）。召为大理丞，迁刑部郎中。寻以疾奉祠。十二年卒，年七十三。有《闽志编》三卷，已佚。事见《絜斋集》卷一八《刑部郎中薛公墓志铭》。今录诗三首。
