曾子立言诏后世，战陈无勇非孝也。
战死犹留千古名，大夫赤心为宗社。
而况判死乃得生，父母贵体非轻舍。
忠孝从来只一原，此道於今识者寡。
兹湖老师遗墨在，光焰万太追风雅。
发挥天经与地义，为怜世人多聋哑。
跋语流传壮矣哉，忠由孝出非外假。
厥今边庭尚绎骚，其势飙炊陵诸夏。
孤忠步步踏实地，纸上陈言付土苴。
报国即是报新恩，忠孝断断非二得。
两阃对峙贵通情，胸怀如水常善下。
不见天高并地阔，要令物物归化治。
雍容课笑净边尘，直把兵氛都汛洒。
名垂竹帛增亲荣，入观至尊金斝。
到此纯孝通神明，冥冥之中锡纯虾。
病夫山中何所能，功成请将椽笔写。

庆元府鄞县人，字广微。袁燮子。少承家学，又受业于杨简。宁宗嘉定七年进士。为秘书省正字，奏称内外局势可惧，请严守帅之选，兴屯田之利。迁校书郎，又言边事之病在内不在外。历任监司及州府官，所至兴利除弊。入为中书舍人，屡奏边事当以上流为急，议和恐误事。累官至权兵部尚书、兼吏部尚书。卒谥正肃。有《蒙斋集》等。
