王惟俭，明藏书家、鉴赏家。字损仲，祥符（今河南开封市）人。万历二十三年（1595）进士，授潍县知县，官兵部主事、光禄寺丞、大理少卿、以佥都御史出任山东巡抚、南京兵部右侍郎、工部右侍郎等职，为魏忠贤所挤兑而罢归。先后两次因故落职闲住。性嗜学，肆力经史百家，喜聚书，收藏古玩和书画众多，与董其昌等人称为“博物君子”。苦于《宋史》繁芜，手自删定，自为一书《宋史记》250卷。喜书画古玩，工于鉴赏，万历、天启间，与董其昌并称博物君子。著有《文心雕龙训故》、《史通削繁》、《史通训故》等。
