吴琏，字美中。南海人。明宪宗成化二十年（一四八四）进士。授直隶含山知县。值年荒，多方赈救，作粥糜以饷流移，前后所活盈万。政暇，授生徒以《周易》。逾年，以忧去任。起后知进贤县，以守正不合，引疾归。卒年八十馀。著有《竹庐诗集》。清道光《广东通志》卷二七六有传。吴琏诗，以嘉靖九年南海吴氏家刊本《竹庐诗集》为底本。
